Billy Joe Martin, PhD, Assistant Dean, Research

Dr. Martin earned a PhD from Rice University in 1970 with a major in cell biology and minor in biochemistry.  He served as a professor and Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi from 1983-1991.  Since that time, he has served in various faculty and administrative positions at William Carey University, including Dean of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Sciences and Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences.  During his career, he has been a successful researcher and published numerous manuscripts in professional journals.
