The William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine curriculum is discipline-based and is structured around the Core Competencies of the osteopathic profession in order to maximize the students’ opportunity to train for a career in Osteopathic Primary Care.
The Core Competencies are Osteopathic Philosophy, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Medical Knowledge, Patient Care, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Professionalism, Practice-Based Learning and Improvement, and System-Based Practice.
