Winters School of Music

2012 is already exciting at the Winters School of Music! Recitals, concerts, musical theatre productions are all in progress. Our students and faculty are busy! But we are having a wonderful time doing what we love to do…..MAKE MUSIC!

CELEBRATE with us our re-affirmation with NASM. This lengthy process re-affirms our commitment to excellence!

Many of the music majors who will begin at Carey in August 2012 have already auditioned. We look forward to meeting those new students and folding them in to the Carey music family. If you know of a student that is interested in music as a profession send me their name and I will be happy to contact them.

Let me mention just a few School of Music Events that are going to happen between now and July.

Certainly this list does not include all the recitals, workshops, and concerts that we host each month. Busy? Of course! But what great fun to work with the best students and faculty. We hope to see you at Homecoming this year. Come back and enjoy your classmates and faculty from the past. I will be hosting a music alumni brunch at my home on Saturday April 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. My wife Sarah and I hope you will come and fellowship with us. We had a great time last year and we hope this will be an annual event. But we need you to come!

The Chorale still closes each concert with “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.” Certainly that is our prayer that you will be blessed in the days to come. Pray for us and send us a note. We love hearing from you!

Finally, I hope you will encourage students called to minister through music, students called to teach music, and students called to minister in music therapy, and students who want to become professional performers, to contact us. We are eager to meet the future here at William Carey University Winters School of Music!
