Alternate program for individuals who do not hold a license:

Individuals pursuing the alternate route must take the PRAXIS and obtain acceptable scores prior to their third trimester of enrollment in the program.
Adding certification/licensure
For individuals who hold a master’s degree in education and teacher licensure/certification, school counselor licensure may be added by completing the prescribed program.
School Counseling Endorsement (436) Prerequisite: AA License
Twenty-four hours, including PSY 573 and PSY 698, and one course from the list of electives with advisor approval (18 hours if 620 and 640 are included in their first master’s degree).
